"Well perhaps but I wouldn't doubt meeting my in-laws will be a picnic." Bakura scratched his head. "We had to get here somehow so maybe there's a way out."

Callie: "True." I cock my head thoughtfully, looking from Bakura to Waltz and back, again. "But how do we find our way back."

(I had a crazy idea. Bakura doesn't get a warm reception from a certain Enforcer commander who believes she was kidnapped and throws him in prison and Callie has to get him out)

"I have no idea but I'm not about to go wandering around this entire world." Bakura replied.

"I'll have some of my soldiers look around and try to find a way out and send someone to let you know when it's been found. You'll have an escort and I'll add extra security to your home until then. I'll even send servants to run errands for you." Waltz replied.

"You don't have to go that far. Bodyguards are perfectly fine. You'd just have to let the people who work in the stores know so they'll allow weapons in."

Waltz shrugged. "If you prefer it that way. You are my subjects though. I wish to keep you safe."

Callie: I look at the kittens. "While we're looking for the way home and at home, who'll be taking care of the children." My pupils dilate in panic. "Not that-that three eyed Freak!! After what he did in the mansion, absolutely NOT!"

"I can do it." Waltz replied.

"I couldn't ask you to do that..." Bakura looked away.

"Fugue wouldn't dare come near them if he knows I'm babysitting. He knows full well that attacking me will be seen as an act of treason."

"Still..."

"Naturally you'll take them with you when you leave this world, yes? So I won't be babysitting them for the rest of their lives."

"I suppose you have a point, Waltz. Fine."

(Tempted to have the portal close up behind Callie and Bakura so they can't get back to their kittens. Also to have Fugue try to attack the kittens despite Waltz babysitting and to have the kids really be brats to Waltz.)

Callie: I beam, throwing my arms around Waltz's neck and kissing him on the cheek. "Thank you! I don't know how we'll be able to repay you for your kindness."

(You must be psychic or something because I was thinking the same thing about Fugue attempting to get to the kittens and having to fight Waltz to get to them)

"There's no need to repay me, I assure you." He put a hand on the hilt of his rapier. "If Fugue wants to get to your children, he'll have to go through me! And I won't let him past me without a fight."

Callie: thinking for a moment. "Maybe a nice souvenir or something from Megakat City. It'll be something really nice and my gift to you, Count Waltz. Once we find the way back we'll be able to travel back and forth, so sending you the present would be easy."

"If you insist. Right so I'll have a squad of guards search for a way to your home and inform you when they've found it. Until then you'll have bodyguards to escort you if you need to run errands."

Callie: I giggle, and go over the Waltz, giving him a big old hug and kiss on the cheek. "Thank you."

The kiss and hug surprised Waltz "I...er...you're welcome."

Bakura pouted, feeling slightly jealous. He cleared his throat and then sat back down. "Thank you, Waltz."

Callie: Releasing Waltz, I go over to the Pouting Bakura and scratch him behind the ears. "We should probably start the search, right away." I think looking at the darkening sky outside. "But it is late. Should we go out in the morning or... I don't know."

(It was two girls and two boys right? I think we decided on the names on an earlier page.)

"It's late. We should get the kids to bed." Bakura said, picking up one of his daughters. "Come on. It's bedtime. Daddy will read you four a bedtime story."

Waltz stood up. "I should be heading back myself. Thank you for the lovely dinner. I'll have my soldiers look for that portal in the morning and inform you when they have found it."

(Yeah, and don't ask me to remember what and what and what.)

Kids: Three pile on daddy, one mischievous little bugger holds onto Daddy's tail wanting to be dragged across the room.

Callie: "I'll see you out." I walk Waltz to the door, opening it, and hesitating before a baseball bat in the umbrella stand. "Um... do you need me to escort you home?"

"I have my own escort waiting for me outside. And if need be, I'm perfectly capable of defending myself. But thank you for offering." Waltz replied. "Oh, do you mind if I take some leftovers with me?"

(Said escort is Calamity Wilhm)

Callie: smiling. "Feel free to take as much food as you want. Feeding you is the least we can do after all the help you're giving us."

"Well it's not for me. You see, it's for my escort. He gets cranky when I don't feed him on time." Waltz scratched his head. "He's my pet dragon, Calamity Wilhm. Found him when he was still in his egg. He'd been orphaned like I had. Raised him myself. He's friendly to strangers but only when I'm around."

Callie: "I think I heard about him when I was still at the mansion, in whispers from the staff." I find some disposable cartons. "Take all if you want."

"Thank you very kindly." Waltz smiled and put some food in one of the cartons. "This should be enough." He cleared his throat. "I don't want to overstay my welcome. I'll be going now. Farewell." He turned and left.

Callie: I smile, close the door and then get to the task of tucking the children in for the night and then preparing for bed, myself. Before turning in I make a list of things to do in order to start the search for home.

Bakura climbed into bed and grabbed a book off his nightstand. He then opened it and continued reading from where he'd left off the night before. His ears were perked, listening for suspicious noises.

Waltz climbed onto CW's back and took off. He hovered in the air for a few minutes before heading back to the mansion. Once there he went inside. Something was off though. It was too quiet. He didn't hear Fugue yelling at servants or guards like he normally did. Waltz frowned. Yes, something was definitely wrong.

(Shall we set up Fugue getting fired?)

Fugue: I had been observing the party from the bushes, waiting for Waltz to leave and the house to go quiet. Quietly, I go around to a darkened window, cut the screen and cut the glass to reach in and undo the lock. I open the window and climb in.

(The kids' room yeah? I'm gonna go with it being close enough to his and Callie's room for him to hear. Besides he has the hearing of a cat)

Bakura's ears swiveled towards the sudden unusual noise. He closed the book he was reading and climbed out of bed. All of his hunting instincts kicked in and he stalked in the direction of the noise, claws unsheathed and body ready to pounce on the intruder, quickly identifying him by the all too familiar scent---Fugue!

"Wherever you are, three-eyes, you'd better get out of my house!" He growled.

Meanwhile, Waltz got back on CW's back and returned quickly to Bakura and Callie's house.
