A Day In the Life

The elf archer, Saeriel, introduces herself to Malladus. He observes that she is an archer and askes where he is. Saeriel has no clue. Milan finishes drinking Ravio's blood, steals a spare key, and then leaves Ravio's house.

Yubel:
stomp out of the mansion and fly back to its home ~stupid Bakrua! no sense of responsibility. he has a wife, a sister and two children, and what does that idiot do? let himself get arrested again. it's not like I didn't warn him. well fine, if he likes the cell so much, he can stay there!~
I arrive at home and enter "hello Sa'Dia. Apparently your brother misses the old days and went back to his little cell." I lie down on the couch on turn the TV on. I watch the news, because that's the most brutal series on TV.

"How do you know he wanted to go back to his cell, Yubel? How do you know he wanted to get arrested?" Sa'dia blinked. "What did happen?"

"Well I warned him often enough. No Bakura, don't go, they will capture you! but did he listen? no, of cause not. he'd rather sneak into that mansion to steal his stupid dagger than taking responsibility for his family. well if his family means that little to him, fine, he can stay in there!"

"You went with him. Why didn't you do something, Yubel?"

"because he didn't let me. I thought we'd very carefully sneak in, but he just ran into the guards' arms."

"That's not true. He'd never do something like that." Sa'dia crossed her arms. "Tell me the truth, Yubel. Or I'll go and ask my brother what the truth is."

Callie: I sigh. "I'm feeling better, now. I think I'm going to take Bakura some supper. Do you want to come with me, Yami?"

"I don't have anything else to do right now so sure, Callie." Yami replied.

Callie: I hug Yami. Putting my teacup down, I head to the kitchen to make a sandwich for Bakura and take it to him, in the dungeon.

Bakura was asleep.

Callie: "Bakura? I've brought you your supper, do you want to eat it or shall I just leave it for when you wake up?"

Bakura stirred a little and opened his eyes. He didn't see Callie. Just Yami. "Come to laugh at your fallen enemy, Pharaoh?" He spat. "I bet you were the one who convinced Mariku to betray me for money. It wasn't just money he wanted though. No. He wanted my Millennium Items. But when he found out I only had the Ring, well..." Bakura shrugged. "I'm surprised you trust him. He is your enemy after all."



"I did no such thing, Bakura. I didn't even know he was here!" Yami replied.

"Don't lie to me! I swear to Ra if I wasn't in this cell I would knock you off your fucking high horse. You think you're so great being the Pharaoh. Being king of all Egypt. You think you can do anything you want and no one will object to it because your word is law." Bakura retorted.

Callie: "Yami did no such thing, Bakura. Since you escaped, both he and I were under constant watch, in case you or Yubel attacked, again. There was no way either of us could meet with this Mariku."

"Why should I believe you? You probably don't believe I only returned because I wanted my property returned to me. I would have left peacefully afterwards."

Callie: "What guarantee would you have given that you wouldn't have attacked, again? Yubel came to me at my job, she informed me that you'd been recaptured. I saw her, again, when she came to my room. She had some property with her. I saw it. I assumed it was yours." I describe the things I saw with Yubel. "I have no reason to lie to you, Bakura."

Yubel:
"okay, I will tell you the truth, even when you won't believe it. We got inside through a window and then we met that guy who claimed to be Bakura's ally and even thought I told him the guy was lying, Bakura would rather follow him instead of listen to me. and so that guy led him to the guards."

(don't know what to do with my other characters, especially Berion)

"She didn't attack you, now did she?" Bakura crossed his arms. "You wouldn't have even known I was here if Mariku hadn't betrayed me."

"I...why would he be so foolish?" Sa'dia muttered.

Callie: "Not this time. No. I don't trust Yubel, I'd prefer to stay as far away from her as possible."

"If she didn't attack you then why would I?"

Callie: "You're different than she is. You're able to speak and understand things. She... doesn't."

Yubel:
"I have no idea. apparently he isn't as good as I thought. before we went out he said "It's like I was a prisoner inside my own house" yeah right, because I don't want him to go to jail, he's a prisoner. well if he'd rather go there then stay with his family, fine." I pick Jesse up and put her in my lap where I cuddle her.

"Hmph..."

"Why didn't you try to help him?" Sa'dia asked. "He was betrayed...tricked. He didn't go to those guards willingly."

"Of cause he did. I told him that guy was betraying him. he knew what was coming at him and did it any way. what else would you call that?"

Callie: Puts Bakura's sandwich inside his cell door, then kneels a safe distance away, rubbing my arms. "I... I don't want to be hurt, again. I don't want anyone else to be hurt like I was. I can't trust Yubel not to hurt anyone, again. She asked me to come visit you and her at your home, I refused. If... you still want to hurt people, I'd be surprised. After all that you went through, all that you suffered, why would you want to inflict that same suffering on others? Simple revenge? Is it worth it?"
