"I still don't know. I'm not exactly allowed out of here but if I recover here I'm going back in that Ra-forsaken cell afterwards until that Waltz guy decides to let me go and I doubt that's going to happen anytime soon. He doesn't want to let go of his precious prisoner." Bakura rolled his eyes and continued.

"You said he can't do anything if I go with you. But do you honestly think he fucking cares? He's royalty and that apparently gives him a free ticket to do what he wants regardless of whatever laws he's breaking."

He smirked but his eyes betrayed a hint of bitter rage. "Oh but they're his laws so he doesn't have to abide by them. So if he decides he wants to slaughter an entire village to further his own power he can even though it's murder. If he wants to lock a starving child in prison and let the guards have their way with him then he can. Because he's the king and the king can do whatever the bloody hell he wants with no repercussions. If anyone protests, throw them in prison! Execute them for daring to question his authority! Ah yes. His word is law and if he says he's exempt from his own laws then that's the way it goes. That's what he and everyone with royal status I've come across has disillusioned themselves into believing."

Yubel:
~you weren't any better~ I sit down on the bed and lie a wing around him. "you can't remember it, but together we once claimed the throne after getting rid of Waltz and you were the King. And we were invincible, or should have been. they... at the day of our marriage the children came and that's when they attacked. no sense of honour. You are right, they wouldn't care if they may arrest you. they even want to declare war on the small Kingdom or Jareth, who was our ally. they think that land belongs to them. they think the entire world is theirs. monsters."
There is a knock on the door and Berion enters, in his hand a bouquet poppy flowers. "oh. I apologise, I didn't mean to intrude like this." He lies the flowers on a table and leaves the room again. there is a card. it shows a halve wheel with a raven on top and says "if your count allows it, you are welcome to visit us. maybe we can help you" I read that text out to Bakura

(Poppies. Not a good flower to put around a mortal)

"I was king? A likely story..." Bakura muttered. When Berion entered the room with the flowers, he paid special attention to the species. Poppies? What is he trying to do? Put me to sleep? He shook his head to clear it. "My count? He means Waltz?"

Callie: Curls up in Yami's arms, falling asleep.

Ollen: "If you want, I could go with you to your job, and stick around for a little while to make sure you're safe. If things there are good, then I'll quietly slip away."

Gcar: Hearing the shouting and argument. "Hey! If you two are going to fight and argue, Yubel can go home, while Bakura stays until he is well."

(I know. but it has a backstory. because they make you sleepy, they are considered a holy flower in the world where Berion comes from, more precisely a holy flower of Boron, who is also God of Oblivion.)

Yubel:
"oh just shut up. you remember what happened last time you got on my nerves? it's in your interest to stay on my good side, clear? so shut your mouth and let me talk with him." I turn my attention back to Bakura. "Waltz is the name of the Count who claims the entire world his property. We couldn't stand it any more, so we got rid of him. But he came back."

Rene:
"urm, yes. please. I just hope Fugue doesn't get jealous."

Gcar: "If what you are doing is upsetting my patient and endangering his health, then I have a right to say something."

Ollen: "Sure." I go with Rene to his job.

Yubel:
"well you said something, happy? now shut up."

Rene:
I look a bit frightened at the manufacture in front of me. I carefully go inside. After a short asking around, I am lead to a urm, not very slim woman. she asks me if I am the new one and after I say yes, I get a uniform and am introduced. people here seem a bit stressed, but nobody molests me. I also get a task and start working. I soon find out that it's a hard work and I really have to be assiduous, but well the payment is also good.

Gcar: "You aren't the queen anymore and you are upsetting my patient. Get out. You may return to visit again, in the morning, but for tonight, please leave."

Ollen: Observes the place. "It's a sweatshop. No cousin of mine will work here, if he has any self respect. Hmm. I wonder if he can do upholstery. Sewing on couches and furniture isn't too different from sewing on clothes. I'll have to ask him later if he wants to work at my shop."

Yubel:
I decide to just ignore any word the "doctor" says.

Gcar: "If I have to call the guards, I will. How would your children like to see their mother arrested along with their father?"

Yubel:
"I suppose they will cry and live in deepest misery and sorrow and it will be all your fault"

Rene:
"I need the money to start an own tailoring."

Gcar: "Perhaps their mother should take them home."

Ollen: "You can work for me. I pay you the same wages and treat you far better."

Yubel:
"perhaps you should shut up"

Rene:
I stare at him "really?! oh that would be awesome!"

Gcar: "Perhaps you should leave."

Ollen: "Yeah. Does it bother you that you aren't sewing clothes?"

Yubel:
"perhaps you should shut up"

Rene:
"well actually yes. but when it means I have time for Fugue in the evening, it's okay. And I think here I wouldn't be that happy either" I point at what's made here. all standards made without love.

"She wasn't upsetting me..." Bakura muttered.

Yubel:
I turn my attention back to Bakura. "thank you."

"Nah, I got upset on my own."

Yubel:
I hug him. "shall I make you feel better?"

"I'm fine now. I was able to vent my frustrations and anger towards royalty. That made me feel better."

Yubel:
"is it that improbable that you once killed a count?"

"Hm?"

Yubel:
"that's the 'crime' that everyone but me accuses you for. I think a place, where everyone thinks of you as a criminal for serving justice, is no place for you to recover."

"Perhaps. But then I'm not really allowed to leave."

Yubel:
"do you care?"
