A Day In the Life

Fugue: "In order to fight, your actions need to be fluid, automatic, natural. Mercy and thinking about every little action do nothing but waste precious seconds that could be used for survival. If you're cold, you're able to react and strike that much quicker in order to save lives. It's kill them before they kill you. That's how it works."

"but then they can never be defeated. maybe you kill them, but at what price? you become like them. please don't become like them"

Fugue: "I have no choice, if I want to protect everyone. If one of them were lunging at you to attack you, would you prefer me to be cold, attack and kill them, first, or would you prefer me to hesitate and think about it, while they kill you?"

"I... don't know. I don't know what hurts me more. them, or seeing you becoming like them."

Fugue: "I don't like hurting you, but I can't change. I've been a soldier too long. If you want to end this relationship and try to find someone else, I'll understand."

Rene:
"..."

Kefi crawled over to his mother, holding out his arms to be picked up. "Want to go home."

Yubel: I pick Kefi up with one arm and hold Jesse in the other one. "farewell, Cow Walls" I leave the mansion and fly back home.

Fugue: "Your decision. I won't be mad at you for it. We can still be friends, whatever you decide."

Rene:
"I..."

The guard left Bakura in the dungeon and then left and headed back to the throne room. He walked past it and then changed his disguise to...Waltz.

Loki chuckled a bit. Of course for this to work he'd need to fool Fugue. Shouldn't be too difficult. He'd done his homework. All he needed to do was act like a spoiled brat. He went to find where the man had run off to.

Fugue: "You... what?"

"I don't want to lose you, I love you. but I don't want to see you when you are so cold."

Fugue: "You can't have it both ways."

"I can. why won't you listen? I know you have to do your work, it's okay. I just don't want to watch."

Loki, still disguised as Waltz, found Rene and Fugue. "There you are. I wanted to speak to you."

(Up to you gcar if you want Fugue to see through the deception even if it's not right away)

Fugue: "Excuse me Rene." I stand up, holding onto Rene, so he doesn't fall. I, gently, put Rene in my chair, then turn to face Waltz. I bow. "May I assist you, Waltz-sama?"

"I've been thinking and I decided to let Bakura go. He can go home. He can roam around anywhere he wants except for in the town. If he steps one foot inside the town he'll be killed on sight."

Fugue: "As you wish, Waltz-sama. I'll see to it the guard is informed of that immediately."

Rene:
I sigh relieved "so we will finally get rid of him. he will be gone and won't come back" I stand up and hug Waltz "thank you. thank you thank you thank you." I turn around to look at Fugue with a super wide smile.

"Very well. I'll send a guard to let him go." Loki turned and left. Once he was out of sight of Fugue he returned to his guard disguise and went to the dungeon. "I just secured your freedom with a bit of deception on my part. Come on." He unlocked the door of the cell.

Bakura got up and walked out of the cell. "I suppose you're keeping that disguise until we're clear of the mansion?" He asked as they left the dungeon.

"Of course. Besides, there are so many guards here I doubt they'll miss one." Loki replied. "I doubt they even noticed they had a newcomer anyway."

The two left the mansion and once they were a few feet away from it Loki removed his disguise. "Of course you can't go to the town anymore unless you want to get killed."

"What the--? Why did you--?"

"I disguised myself as Waltz. Had to make it look good to fool three-eyes. I deeply apologize. I know how it feels to be in exile." Loki explained

"Hm...I guess you had to figure out something. Anyway since you helped me, I'll make you my ally. You're welcome to stay with me and my family. Come on." Bakura said.

The two went to Bakura's house by the lake.

Yubel:
I am currently bathing Jesse when I hear the door open and close. I go to the door to see Bakura. "what are you doing here and who is that?" I turn around to go back to Jesse "if you want to answer, follow me, I am busy."

Bakura and Loki followed. "I've been freed, that's what I'm doing here. As for him," Bakura tilted his head to Loki. "He's the one who secured my freedom."\

Loki bowed. "Loki Laufeyson, madame."

"okay. then I don't need Claude to pack your suitcase, you can do it yourself. You know where the suitcases are. get everything you need and then get out of my house."

(did he pick the Ring up?)

(Which ring? The wedding ring or the Millennium Ring? If it's the latter he's always had it on)

"No. I'm not leaving you, Yubel."
