A Day In the Life

Callie: Has arrived at the restaurant before Alan can open the place for the day. He and I had to arrive early because it's delivery day. The food truck comes to deliver all the food the restaurant needs for the week. I'm leaning against the door, waiting patiently. Sandra comes in early on delivery day, too, but she doesn't clock in, until after the delivery is put away, to save on costs.

(he always complains that he mustn't have a family. but he isn't really trying to take care of his children either. he always runs away.)

Yubel:
"Bakura!" I see him running away. I mutter to myself "Bakura. do you even want a family? you always run away. you never take care of anything in the house." I kick a stone while I head back home to feed the two father-less children. "your children nearly never see you. when you aren't roaming around, you are either sleeping or training. do you love them at all? I think you don't want a family" I arrive home and go to the children's room where I find both awake. I pick up Akefia and rock him "your daddy is a dork"

Zelda: Maybe... But I believe in you Berion, you can do this as long as you stick to it.

Aryll: -raises an eyebrow in question- Mess with their minds how?

(now all 4 are online. I'm so sorry for being busy)

Berion:
I look at the window again. "I don't know any more. you don't know what happened in that training. There was a room filled with fog. I couldn't see anything. I fought against my opponents. when the fog went away I saw that I slew my allies and innocent children."

Zelda: -she frowns- Are you sure they were real? Weren't they some sort of dummies or anything?

Berion:
"yes, they were dummies. but does that matter? In a real battle I would have killed those which I wanted to protect."

(He's frustrated. But sure. The guy can't have some time to himself can he? He always has to be taking care of the twins 24/7. And he's not allowed to sleep either. Nope. Because if he's asleep he can't take care of his kids. Even though he has a wife, a sister, and a butler who are capable of taking care of the twins as well he has to do it all by himself. He can't go anywhere either. He has to stay in the house.

Bakura know that he's a fugitive right now. He also knows that his enemies will be searching for him sooner or later and it doesn't matter if he's on his own territory or theirs. It doesn't matter that he's minding his own business and not bothering them. It doesn't matter that he just wants to live in peace. Waltz wants him locked up. He belongs in a cell, not with his family.

That's what is going through Bakura's mind right now. He's running because he doesn't know what else to do. He's isolating himself from everyone. Of course the isolation might only break him further)

Bakura kept running. He ran past one of the scouts that Jade had sent out. The scout pursued him for a few miles before they got to some cliffs. Bakura summoned Diabound to take him to a cave at the top. The cliffs were too steep to climb without gear so the scout went to report back.

Bakura sat in the cave and half-admired the view. He could see if anyone was coming, whether to arrest him or otherwise.

(Bakura never did anything for your children, at least you never wrote "Bakura takes care of his children" you never made it clear that Bakura put any interest in them. he put Kefi to bed once, but Yubel had to convince him to do that.)

(He's not been around them long enough to really take care of them. But it can be implied he did. Why do I have to specify if he does one thing or another?)

Kefi looked up. "Where daddy? Cow Walls take him?"

(because unless you say he did it, we don't know he did it and that will lead to misunderstandings. usually  people don't have to say everything, when you can be sure that he did it. for example you don't have to specify that Waltz got dressed in the morning. however you'd have to specify that Pluto gets dressed. In Bakura's case it wasn't clear that he took care of his children for several reasons.
1st he didn't have a family for 3000 years, maybe he doesn't know how to take care of it
2nd he has a butler, a sister and a wife, why should he do the work?
3rd he was in a bad mood
4th he had to be convinced in a long discussion to put Akefia to bed
5th he always says how he isn't allowed to have a family at all.
for those reasons it wasn't common knowledge that Bakura took care of his children, even when he did so in your imagination.
So you should have made clear that he pays attention to them to avoid misunderstandings like this one.
and another reason: this game consists of communication, so communicate your thoughts to us.)

Yubel:
I shake my head "no, not yet. your father wants to be alone" ~he doesn't want to spend more time with us~

(He's seen people take care of their children and learned by observation. He can do the work. I was being sarcastic saying he has to do all the work by himself without Yubel, Claude, or Sa'dia helping him. He's not in a bad mood per se. He's just stressed out. As for Yubel having to convince him to bathe Kefi, he was upset that she got so angry at him. And the last thing, that was pessimism talking)

"Daddy sad?"

(yes, I'm not saying that he didn't care. I'm saying that it wasn't 100% clear that he'd take care of them, so you should have said so.)

Yubel:
I nod "yes. your daddy is afraid of Count Walls."

(Well my bad then)

"Kefi make daddy feel better."

Yubel:
"when he comes back, we'll play with him"

"Go find Daddy now."

"will you come with me"

Kefi nodded. "Kefi make daddy feel better."

Yubel:
I hold Kefi in my arm and leave the house with him. I fly around in search for him. "Bakura?"

Bakura was still in the cave.

Zelda: Oh... Well, it just takes practice to make an extra step of caution in times like that.

Yubel:
I search around "Bakuuura? where are you? give me a sign when you hear me"

Berion:
"I don't know. lately I don't know anything any more. it's like the Berion I knew was gone. (It's like my player forgot how he planed me.)"

Bakura didn't hear Yubel.

Zelda: -frowns- I'm sorry to hear that, Berion... Could I help you in any way?

Yubel:
I keep searching.

Berion:
"I don't know. My whole life I have been full of confidence. I trained my entire life to free my home city. That day when we attacked Warunk, I even ignored my fear of the undead. but then, afterwards, I changed. as if all my confidence was used up. I'm not even sure any more if I really acted to give my people their home back, or if it was only my seek for revenge."
